HOW DO YOU handle illegal questions asked during an interview? What are illegal questions, and why they are illegal? Laws have been passed to protect individuals seeking jobs from unfair discrimination. Understand your rights and options when you are presented with an interviewing situation that is unlawful. There are six categories of illegal questions based on specific laws that have been passed to protect individuals from discrimination. They are:
