It is to be hoped that you will never be in a situation where you need to contact the fire or police departments or summon emergency medical assistance. But it is better to think about it now, rather than wonder “What should I do?” if the situation does arise.
CALL FOR HELP
Most communities in the United States now have 911 access to emergency services. Find out if you can dial 911 directly from your company phone system. Many phone systems that can be programmed to allow 911 direct dialing (including private pay phones) aren’t, simply because no one thought of doing it—until someone needed to make that call.
