Foreword

The vast majority of new books expand on current knowledge of a topic. Rarely does a book come along that serves as a catalyst and vanguard. It points us in new directions and opens our minds to possibilities unimagined. Such books generate intellectual excitement and energy. In my 40 years as an industrial-organizational (I-O) psychologist I have read very few books with such potential. Green Organizations is one of them.

There are five bases to my sense of anticipation. First and foremost, sustainability matters. It matters for us both now and later. It matters for generations yet unborn.
