Gratitude

Gratitude is the lifeblood of spiritual health. In its simplest form, it's saying “Thank you.” When we show appreciation, we are saying that we care.

Showing gratitude is highly personal: you have to accept who you are and what is both good and not so good about yourself. It reflects a humility which recognizes that you are human like everyone else on this planet. Although it begins inside yourself, gratitude radiates outward and touches the lives of everyone close to you. Once you open your heart to expressing gratitude, the benefits accrue. Others respond in kind, and entire communities and cultures are uplifted when people encourage what is best about them.
