Recruiting the Right People

One of the most important skills in business is the ability to attract and

select good people. During my time as a production manager, I decided that

it was my single most important decision. One thing I learned: Recruitment

is something that should be approached with care and not rushed. Some of

my personal do’s and don’ts of recruitment areas follow:

◾ The rst priority is always to recruit the right person. If you cannot nd

the right person, you are better off not recruiting anybody. Do not rush

to ll a role because, inevitably, it will cost you more time and money to
