Quality Assessment
After you have successfully encouraged a culture that values quality among members of the development and QA teams, you can assess the efforts toward that. A quality assurance assessment requires that you examine your teams and the tools, processes, practices, and measures they use to perform their work. Take note of the following specifics:
- QA Team
Assess the background, skill, and organization of members of the QA team.
- QA Tools and Environment
Assess tools used to measure and track software quality, especially a defect and enhancement tracking program. Additional tools can assist with testing automation.
- QA Activities and Processes
Assess the activities and processes that describe the efforts the teams make to ensure quality.
