Sandy Costa was president and COO of the S&P 500Quintiles during their six-year growth from $90 million to$1.6 billion and from 1,000 to 20,000 employees. There weremany successful acquisitions in that time—a feat in and ofitself—but more than 60 percent of that growth was organic.Prior to joining Quintiles, Mr. Costa held the positions ofGeneral Counsel and Senior Vice President Administrationwith Glaxo, Inc., U.S. Area Counsel with Merrell DowPharmaceuticals, and Food & Drug Counsel with NorwichEaton Pharmaceuticals.
