G Command Summary
This appendix contains a brief description of all the LATEX commands, in alphabetical (ASCII) order, neglecting the leading backslash \\,
along with some TEX commands that have been explained in this book. In the following section, the commands are presented in their logical grouping in a number of tables and figures.
G.1 Brief description of the LATEX commands
For each command in the following summary, the section and page number are given where it is introduced and described in detail. The numbers are shown in the form: ‘(Section) – Page’: for example (2.5.1) – 13 means ‘Section 2.5.1, page 13’.
The following notations may be added to the commands:
[m] those permitted in math mode only,
[a] those belonging to AMS-LATEX, ...
