Step 1: Build Trust and Rapport
The first critical step to coaching executives within your organization is to earn their trust. You must gain respect, trust, and rapport in order for the executive to listen to you and accept what you have to offer. Don't act as if you have something to prove; rather, show your knowledge and credibility through your professional behavior, your preparedness and expertise, and your familiarity with the challenges they face.
