No attempt is made here to list all variants. Only those deemed significant are included. Special priority is given to the readings of G, which, after A, normally offers the most reliable text, though, as will become apparent, it often offers improving correction or outright rewriting. On some occasions, the testimony of E is invaluable. In contrast, the more divergent and original readings of E are also cited here for the purposes of illustration even though they do not carry much authority. Variants from Vg and B are only seldom cited except when they concur with either G or A.
