Reconnaissance
This chapter will introduce the first phase of the penetration testing lifecycle, reconnaissance. This includes taking the information known about the target and expanding it to include all of the information that can be obtained, often using open-source tools and queries, about the organization and system allowing future phases of the lifecycle to be more effective.
