Everyone in the business sector can be better at time management. I’ve attended at least eight courses on time management, and they were all helpful in their own way. But nothing will be as effective as this simple idea.
Spend a week examining how you spend your time. Make a copy for each day of the work week of the calendar on pages 152–154. It divides each day into 15-minute increments. Starting with Monday (or whenever your week starts), each day write down what you did in the time that corresponds on the calendar. For example, at 7:30 a.m. you left and drove to work.
