In Global Leadership: The Next Generation, we interviewed 200 high-potential leaders from 120 companies around the world. Based on this information we determined 15 dimensions of leadership for the effective global leader of the future and developed a list of 100 success factors, ranked by importance, for leaders past, present and future. Interestingly, for leaders of the future, globalization ranked number 2 in importance on the list; for current leaders, it ranked 71st, and for leaders of the past, 77th.
