Will TAFTA Be Good or Bad for the Environment?
Abstract
Using cross-sectional panel data, for 23 European Union members and the United States over the 1995–2010 time period, we show robust empirical evidence of a positive effect of trade liberalization, such as the implementation of Trans-Atlantic Free Trade Agreement (TAFTA), on carbon dioxides and nitrogen oxides per capita emissions.
