iPad Human Interface Guidelines for M-Learning

One of the most significant recent technologies is the tablet computer, such as Apple’s iPad or its competitor tablets operating with Android. An increasing number of schools, such as the Kaiserin Augusta Schule, a high school in Germany (Digital Classroom Cologne, 2012), are making use of iPads in schools already.

This chapter will discuss whether and to what extent the development of iPad/iPhone apps for learning and teaching following the Human Interface Guidelines (HIG) helps to improve individual learning and teaching efforts.
