An Exploration of Mobile Learning to Enhance Student Performance in High-School Mathematics

Mathematics has always been a difficult subject for many students. In the last 6 years, 41 percent of high-school students in the Caribbean passed mathematics at the “ordinary” level (Caribexams, 2004). This chapter discusses an m-learning system, MobileMath, that was developed to address the high failure rates in mathematics in secondary schools in the Caribbean.
