Recycling in Context
Abstract
The recycling of metals is widely viewed as a fruitful sustainability strategy, but information on the degree to which recycling is actually occurring is limited in scope and detail. In this chapter we define various metrics for the recycling of metals and present current information on recycled content (RC), end-of-life recycling rates (EOL-RR), and old scrap ratios (OSR) for 60 metals of the periodic table.
