Recovery of Construction and Demolition Wastes

Abstract

Concrete waste is incorporated as one of the highest proportions of the total construction and demolition materials, i.e. about 80% in Australia. Most of the concrete waste generated is sent to landfills. Part of the concrete waste is used as recycled aggregate for recycled aggregate concrete; however, the use of recycled aggregate concrete is only limitedly used as sub-grade and pavement applications.
