16.1 Introduction
Cloud computing is a metaphor for the Internet. In fact, the Internet can be viewed as a combination of several entities with diverse characteristics, offering services remotely through a shared network infrastructure. Specifically, cloud computing has been offered through several delivery models, including Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), and Security-as-a-Service (SaaS).
