So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Producing an application palette
The first thing to do when applying colors to your application is to decide on your application color scheme, or palette. A palette is a small group of colors that form the basis of your theme, and can be adjusted (typically by making them brighter or darker) to produce a wide range of colors that will all look similar enough to be seen as part of the same theme.
It's best to use a good color designing or palette construction tool. An excellent one is Paletton, which is available at http://paletton.com for free (another good tool is https://www.materialpalette.com/).
