Flash video has taken the world by storm since the introduction of the VP6 codec with Flash 8. inally, Flash video quality matched that of other streaming technologies like Real and Windows Media, which can’t come close to Flash’s design flexibility and player ubiquity.

Internet broadcast trophy sites like ESPN, CNN, YouTube, MySpace and many others adopted Flash en masse, and it’s hard to find a Fortune 500 company that doesn’t use Flash somewhere in its web presence.
