When you develop a package in Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS), you can save this package to the file system, inside a table in the SQL Server, or in the SSIS package store. You will then use SQL Server Management Studio to run, monitor, or manage these packages from these locations. SQL Server Management Studio provides these management capabilities using Integration Services (SSIS) service. Using this service you can manage SSIS packages on local or remote servers.
