Nesting precomps and using the pen tool

Lets create a background for your shapes:

1. Go up to the top of the panel and choose Layer | New | Solid
2. Move this new solid to the bottom of your composition layers
3. Next lets create a main comp to bring all our assets into

So, after creating a new comp, name it main comp and then we can apply the same settings as we did in our first comp. To bring a precomp into another composition simply locate the precomp in your project window and drag it down into your main comp:

Now you should see one precomp in your main comp. Let's further adjust this precomp. Get your pen tool:
