Listeners are used to route the traffic from the application gateway to the backend pool. There are two types of listeners:
- Basic: This can be associated with only one rule that means it can be assigned to only one site
- Multi-site: As the name implies, this listener can be associated with multiple rules, which means that it can be assigned to multiple sites
