Confirm Existence of Oracle XE Software and Database
To check the status of the Oracle XE software and database installation, complete the following steps.
1. Choose Start | [All] Programs | Accessories | Windows Explorer.
2. Use Windows Explorer to confirm that ORACLE_BASE exists (e.g., C:\oraclexe) with the subdirectories app and oradata.
