Setup and configuration details

This chapter provides details about setup and configuration of the IBM ProtecTIER device as a storage pool in a Tivoli Storage Manager environment. ProtecTIER can be used as both a Virtual Tape Library (VTL) or File System Interface (FSI). In this chapter, we describe the VTL and provide detailed explanations of the configuration options.
