How to Stay Connected to Your Work Friends

Once when I worked full-time in an office, I stopped by my favorite colleague’s desk to catch up on the TV shows we had watched the night before. Later that morning, another coworker offered to get me an iced coffee (my favorite) on his trip to the local café. At lunch, I spent a few minutes talking to the person who sat next to me. Even my boss checked in to see if I wanted to walk around the block to “stretch my legs and catch up” before our last meeting.

That was back when I was actually paid to hang out with the same people five days a week, eight hours a day.
