About the Authors
Olav W. Bertelsen is an associate professor of human-computer interaction and systems development at the Department of Computer Science, University of Aarhus. He has been teaching human-computer interaction in the interdisciplinary multimedia education program since 1998. His Ph.D. thesis, “Elements of a Theory of Design Artifacts,” was an attempt to give a systematic account, based on activity theory, on the tools, methods, techniques etc., mediating the design of computer artefacts. Actual research interests include common information spaces; activity theory based methods and techniques in human-computer interaction; and reformation of human-computer interaction as an aesthetic discipline based in dialectical materialism. ...
