The importance of self-control
Remember at the beginning of the book when we talked of the reasons why we never managed to achieve our goals? Over the first six chapters, we’ve discovered how to move from ‘I’ve always wanted to…’ on the one hand towards ‘My goal is to…’ on the other.
We’ve also challenged some of the reasons we give ourselves for not having achieved our goals before now. Sometimes, these reasons are to do with our beliefs about our ability such as ‘I’m not cut out to…’ At other times, our beliefs are a result of failed attempts like ‘I tried it and it didn’t work.’
