The demise of paternalistic organizations and the pain of violated dependency are forcing both individuals and organizations to make difficult choices. People who have taken the risk of breaking the shackles of organizational codependency require a supportive environment and organizations seeking to be relevant to the harsh demands of the new paradigm must move against the grain of strong past cultures.
