Chapter 9. Implementing Tools for Non-Admin Users

Administrators of a LightSwitch application can manage both users and roles. In some cases, you must give the ability to administer some parts of the application to users with specific permissions who are not also administrators of the application. Think of lookup tables, for example. They can contain list of items that must be updated according to business evolution, but you don’t necessarily need to know how they must be updated, nor must you be involved in updating that data. After all, you’re responsible for preparing the data structure, not for populating or updating tables, which is the job of some other departments.
