So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

The camera head
If you remove the lens from the camcorder you will find, just behind the lens mount, a fixed flat filter behind which are two discs which hold the four exposure control filters and the four colour control filters. Immediately behind those there is what appears to be another flat glass plate. It is not a plate but a very sophisticated beam splitter.
25.1 The infrared filter
The first piece of glass behind the lens is, in the Sony camera, a simple infrared filter. In the Panavision camera it is a little more sophisticated. The Panavision filter also absorbs infrared, but the wave-lengths that are allowed to pass are extended.
