Traveling Wave-Based High-Speed Data Conversion Circuits

In this chapter, traveling wave-based data conversion circuit techniques are introduced. Although much of the electronics systems around us are all digital nowadays, the source and destination of these signals in nature remain analog. The signal bandwidths that we are interested in have recently been growing significantly, thanks to the increased demand for high-speed wireless and wireline communications. This in return has boosted the need for high-speed, high-resolution data conversion circuits, namely, analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) and digital-to-analog converters (DACs).
