Once the previous 10 steps of performance coaching have been enacted, performance coaches must implement them. Implementation goes by many names. Some call it execution; some call it simply implementation; and some call it intervention. Whatever the name, it usually involves taking action. The action can occur on a short-term basis—such as a one-minute performance coaching session. Or it may occur on a long-term basis—such as many one-hour session between performance coach and coachee.
