The 100x IPO

It’s the ultimate dream for an initial public offering (IPO) investor—that is, getting a deal that returns 100 times the original investment. So if you invested $10,000, you will have made a cool $1 million.

Of course, this is pretty rare. But if you do get such an IPO, it can certainly be a life changer. In fact, the world’s top investors often owe much of their standout returns to a few great trades.

A 100x IPO also does not happen overnight. In general, it takes at least a decade. And it could easily take more than 20 years, as seen with Walmart and Apple.
