MICHAEL BEER is the Cahners Rabb Professor of Business Administration, Emeritus, at Harvard Business School; Chairman of TruePoint Center, a not-for-profit research and education organization; and Chairman of TruePoint Partners, an international consulting firm. Before joining HBS, Mike founded and served as Director of the Organizational Research and Development Department at Corning, Inc. Mike is the recipient of numerous professional honors and awards, including the Academy of Management’s Distinguished Scholar-Practitioner Award, the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology’s Distinguished Professional Contributions Award, and the Michael R.
