Building Your Fit-Trait Lists

In establishing fit, you must determine the key traits required to succeed in both the organization and the specific role. To do this, you need to consider the culture of the organization and the nature and level of the role. You need to identify, for example, the people within and outside the organization who will interact with the individual in the role. The number and nature of these interactions will influence the level of skill required of a candidate in relationship building and will affect your choice of key traits that support relationship building.
