The AC in your car is on the fritz, and even with the windows rolled down it feels like you’re peering over the lip of a volcano’s crater. You can’t wait to get home, where you can finally kick up your feet and cool off. You unlock the door, open it just a crack, and a rush of steamy, scorching air greets you instead of the cool, polar breeze you were expecting. Your husband turned off the thermostat before he left for work, and now you have to come home to a boiler room!
