Sharing Your Broadband Connection

One of the easiest things to share on your home network is your broadband Internet connection. The reason for this is that your router automatically shares this connection, and there's no need for you to do additional network configuration to make this feature work.

You might have heard that Windows offers a feature called Internet Connection Sharing (ICS). The ICS feature shares an Internet connection on a home network by having one PC connect directly to the Internet and also to the network. In effect, the ICS computer is taking the place of the router.
