The remainder of this book focuses on building out the network using wireless technology. Before jumping in, however, it’s worth spending a moment discussing why we choose to go this route, and it really boils down to a single word: flexibility.
Wireless technology provides us with a great deal of flexibility when it comes to what devices we put on the network, how many devices, and where we put those devices. Let’s look at an example. Start with a person who wants to connect to the Internet using broadband cable (this example works with any type of broadband). This person has three computers in the home, one for herself, her spouse, and her teenager, and they all want to connect to the Internet.
