Controlling the processing and mixing of your audio and monitoring what you are working on are important elements in any studio setup. There are many options as to the way you accomplish this task. Mixing consoles have been the traditional way to process audio, but now that many of those functions are handled inside the software DAW, software control surfaces have emerged as a new working environment.
