6. How to Recover from a Foreclosure or Short Sale
If you are facing or have endured a foreclosure, you have my sympathy. It’s never easy, under any circumstance, to pick up and move out of a house against your wishes. In a moment, I’m going to show you how to buy a house again; but first, I want to give you a word of encouragement by saying a foreclosure is not the end of your life, your happiness, or your hope for the future. The way some people talk in their e-mails, you’d think it was the end of the universe.
If you have a foreclosure, adopt a positive perspective. You’re not really losing your home. Home is where the heart is, and if you take your heart with you, you’ll make a new home elsewhere.
