It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Installing and Configuring Specter
Like most Windows-based applications, installation is very simple. You download the zipped package, uncompress it, and then double-click on the Setup icon. Specter will then take you through several screens as it installs the honeypot. The installation process is the standard Windows installation procedure. Once completed—all of thirty seconds later—you are ready to start up the honeypot and configure it.
Configuring Specter is similar to BOF in that it has a simple, easy-to-use GUI called SpecterSpecterControl for configuring the honeypot (Figure 7-4).
