Was It All Bad for the Travel and Tourism Sector?

There is evidence that attitudes toward the commute and business travel had started to change before the pandemic. Depending on the geographic location and available transport links, staff had increasingly been prepared to travel longer distances for work, particularly when housing prices have risen around major cities. While older staff members start to find travel less enjoyable than it used to be, there is evidence to suggest that younger millennials tend to enjoy the opportunity to travel for business, especially if it includes stopovers or a chance to combine it with some leisure time.
