THE FIRST TRUTH
At 10 a.m. sharp, Julie walked into the reception area of Crusher Communications. High ceilings and glass walls made the office feel open and spacious, and the walls were hung with brightly colored pictures that looked like they belonged in a modern-art museum. Sarah was waiting for her at the front, and they walked back together to a large lounge area with a kitchen.
All around them, people seemed focused and busy, working in pairs or small groups, sketching ideas on whiteboards, or leaning in to look at a design on a display. There was a constant hum of activity, but everyone who walked by gave them a smile and a quick, warm greeting.
