Chapter 10. MASTER YOUR INTERRUPTIONS
Interruptions will almost certainly be one of your time issues. Just for the record, you're not the only one. Interruptions rank pretty high on almost everyone's time problem list. With this in mind, whatever you do, don't answer the phone while reading this section!

People tend to get one interruption every eight minutes. With the average interruption taking five minutes, this is about 50% of the work day.
To give you some indication of the scale of this problem, 80% of interruptions are typically rated as of little or of no value, and many people don't even regard them as interruptions.
