It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Introduction
Since the third edition of this book was published a decade ago, more than a little has changed in the field of small budget recording. The number of studios has multiplied beyond all imagination. Back then, it was not surprising to find full-time professional musicians who had their own small recording studio. Now it seems like everyone involved in music has home recording facilities. This made a new edition of this publication a necessity so that it would retain its original intent of providing the most accurate and up-to-date information to the small recording studio owner/builder dealing with the constraints of a tight budget.
