The mindset of the coach

All organisations are hierarchies. To function, there has to be an element of command and control. This can be a nurturing relationship in which managers help and support their teams. It can also be an abusive relationship in which managers look after their own interests and exploit the teams which work for them. Regardless of whether it is a supportive or abusive relationship, it is essentially a parent–child relationship.
