“How do I get picked to give a TED Talk?” is the most frequently asked question I hear, especially from professional speakers. I have to admit though that this is a chapter I did not want to write because I think it is based on a dangerous premise. When you ask this question, you lose sight of what really matters—living your life in the authentic embrace of an idea worth spreading. If you give a TED Talk but do not live your passion, then you have lost the game. If you live your passion and never give a TED Talk, then you win.
