After the interview

After the interview

Relax and congratulate yourself on having been as well-prepared as you could have been. Reflect on how it went and write down key points that could be important in another interview.

You’ll probably have to wait to hear the decision, but in the meantime you can learn from the experience.

  • Were you happy with the way you handled yourself?
  • Did you say what you wanted to say?
  • Did you find out what you needed to know?
  • How many of your ‘you’ points did you get across?
  • Was your behaviour positive, assertive, humble, tense, laid-back, talkative, controlled, etc.?

If you were put forward by a recruitment agency, call them as soon as you can to let them know how you got on and to confirm your interest ...
